The popular streaming service Disney+ continues to evolve, this time with a new offering for international markets called “Star” that features more adult-themed programming.
Disney+ Star is now available in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, along with Singapore, which represents the first region where Disney+ launched with Star. According to Deadline, Disney will release Disney+ with Star in Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea later in the year.
Star is not available in the US because much of its content is already available on Disney’s Hulu platform. But this is a very big deal for Disney+ as it opens up the grown-up Disney content to a significantly larger audience than before.
Some of the biggest-name catalog content on Star includes Grey’s Anatomy, The X-Files, Lost, Family Guy, Atlanta, Black-ish, and Scandal, along with movies like Moulin Rouge, The Devil Wears Prada, Die Hard 2, Pretty Woman, and The Favorite, just to name a small few.
Disney+ originals are also featured on Star, including Love, Victor; Big Sky, and Solar Opposites Come from Sports betting site VPbet . Deadline reported that Disney will also develop “locally produced” original content for certain Star regions.
